Which personal injury cases does Diamondback fund?
We fund car accidents, falls, work, employment and civil rights claims with an attorney on contingency, and settled cases waiting on the check. Most are reviewed before any settlement offer; mass tort, product and drug claims wait for an offer, an enrollment in a settlement program or a settlement. Every case type, with its rule, is on our cases we fund page.
Car & Truck Accidents
Rear-end, T-bone, and commercial vehicle collisions. The case type we fund most often.
Learn more →Slip & Fall
Premises liability claims against property owners, from store hazards to unsafe walkways.
Learn more →Motorcycle Accidents
Rider injury claims, where the liability evidence and the medical records shape the advance.
Learn more →Uber & Rideshare
Uber and Lyft crashes, where the company's commercial coverage can apply depending on what the driver was doing in the app.
Learn more →Catastrophic & Wrongful Death
TBI, spinal cord, burns, amputation, and fatal-injury claims, where larger case values can support larger advances.
Learn more →Medical Malpractice
Expert-driven cases. The strongest applications have a settlement offer or a settled case; earlier cases are reviewed individually.

What makes Diamondback’s pre-settlement funding different?
100% Non-Recourse
If you lose your case, you owe nothing. Your agreement spells out the exceptions, such as fraud or material misrepresentation in your application or claim, or breaking a material term of the agreement. Your personal assets and credit score are not at risk.
One Application
One application reaches Diamondback and its funding partners, so you do not fill out five forms with five companies.
Your Attorney Stays in Charge
The funding company has no role in litigation or settlement decisions. Your attorney keeps full control of the case.
How does pre-settlement funding compare with your other options?
Side by side with the usual ways people cover bills while a case is pending.

Pre-settlement funding is not a loan. It is a non-recourse advance repaid only from your settlement.
What have our clients received recently?
Real advances our clients received, with names and details removed. Amounts are what the client received. Every advance is repaid only from the case, and nothing is owed if the case is lost.
Funding is provided by Diamondback Funding or one of its funding partners. Your agreement identifies the funding company and states your exact repayment terms before you sign.
Pre-Settlement Funding FAQs
The short answers. Every question, by topic, is on our FAQ page.
Pre-settlement funding is a non-recourse cash advance against the expected proceeds of your pending lawsuit. It is not a loan: there are no monthly payments, and repayment comes only out of your settlement or judgment. Most people use it for everyday living expenses while the case is pending.
An adult with a pending claim who lives in one of the 39 states we fund and has an attorney on contingency. If you do not have an attorney yet, hire one who works on contingency first, then apply.
Typically 10 to 20 percent of your estimated case value, from $500 up to $500,000, based on liability strength, documented damages, and available insurance coverage.
Before a settlement, pricing is from 3.33% per month, simple, or from 2.99% compounding, charged in six-month periods; most agreements capped. A settled case starts at 3% per month, simple, charged in periods of three months or more, and capped. Our cost page explains each option and the payoff schedule.
It depends on who funded you. If you were funded through us, call us or reply to our last email, and a second advance can be added to the same case once your attorney's office sends an update. If another company funded you, we review a buyout once there is a settlement offer or the case has settled: the new funder pays off the existing advance and adds new money, as long as the case can carry both.
Yes. That is post-settlement funding, an advance against a case that is settled but not yet paid. Because the outcome is no longer in doubt, the price reflects it, as the cost answer above shows. Answer Yes to "Has the case settled?" on the application. Our post-settlement funding page walks through each step.
Is pre-settlement funding available in your state?
Funding is available to residents of 39 states. We go by the state you live in. In a few states, where the case is filed matters too, so apply and we will check yours. Each state's car accident deadline and fault rule, and where funding is available today, are on our states page.
